The Community Matters Money Show

Betar Bangla radio station on 1503 AM host a show which aims to help you avoid money problems and take back control. Join in the conversation on the last Thursday of every month between 4pm and 5pm. There is a mix of live guests that you can call to ask your questions. Forthcoming topics are:

29 June – Council Tax arrears

27 July – Mental Health and debt

31 August – Domestic Violence and debt

28 September – Financial Inclusion and debt

Bow Foodbank needs you!

bow-foodbank-1Bow Foodbank is an independent food bank in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, founded in 2014.

In their first year they distributed 2,500 baskets of food to more than 800 people. Since first opening their doors, the demand for food has doubled and they now regularly serve between 70 and 80 clients and their families each week.

Meet the Bow Cross Management Board

Bow Cross LogoThe Bow Cross Management Board held the 2015 AGM at the end of May.

The committee members elected at the meeting were published in the October edition of the Bow Cross News

At the meeting a proposal to change the name of the association back to the ‘Bow Cross Management Board (BCMB)’ in place of ‘Bow Cross Resident’s Association’ was voted in by all those in attendance. Read more
